UFP Results Day 2025 – CATS Global School Celebrates International Student Successes

Today, CATS Global Schools (CGS) is proud to share our 2025 University Foundation Programme (UFP) cohort have achieved strong results and will now progress to top UK universities.  

Students have secured places at ten Russell Group universities, including nine universities in the global top 100 universities (according to the QS World University Rankings 2025). 

Launched in 1985, the CATS University Foundation Programme acts as a bridge from a students’ high school education in their home country to studying at a UK university.

Class of 2025 UFP students from across CGS schools have secured places at top UK universities this year. 

Students have obtained places at the following ten Russell Group universities: 

  • The University of Warwick – Ranked 74th internationally and 9th in the UK. 
  • University of Manchester – Ranked 35th internationally and 27th in the UK. 
  • University of Bristol – Ranked 51st internationally and 11th in the UK. 
  • The University of Edinburgh – Ranked 34th internationally and 17th in the UK.
  • Durham University – Ranked 94th internationally and 5th in the UK.
  • University of Sheffield – Ranked 92nd internationally and 14th in the UK. 
  • University of Nottingham – Ranked 97th internationally and 30th in the UK. 
  • King’s College London – Ranked 31st internationally and 24th in the UK.
  • University of Birmingham – Ranked 76th internationally and 22nd in the UK.
  • Queen Mary University of London – Ranked 110th internationally and 39th in the UK.

 

Loughborough University is ranked 10th in the UK. It is ranked in the global top 200 universities for Engineering with specific programmes ranking in the global 100.

Two students have also obtained places at the University of the Arts London (UAL). Internationally renowned for its outstanding creative arts degrees, UAL is ranked 2nd in the world for Art and Design degrees*. The students will be undertaking degrees in Illustration and Fashion Textiles: Print, having achieved excellent grades in their courses. 

A student has also secured a place to study History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art in London. An independent college in the University of London system, Courtauld Institute of Art is ranked 5th internationally for History of Art degrees**.
