Stafford House awarded grant to support teaching in English in the developing world

Stafford House London has been awarded a grant as part of the British Council PRELIM project, a scheme designed to aid English language educational projects in the developing world, run in association with English UK and IATEFL.

“We’re delighted to receive this grant from the British Council to help the Cote D’Ivoire National English Teachers’ Association create resources for its teachers teaching English to use in the classroom.”

Carl Roberton

General Manager, Stafford House

The UK institutions that received the grant are partnered with a teachers’ association in the developing world, and Stafford House London has been partnered with CINELTA (Cote d’Ivoire National English Language Teachers Association).

This scheme, which started in January 2023, will last for 15 months and is coordinated by our Teacher Training and Development Manager, Varinder Unlu, who has already met representatives from CINELTA. The project aims to develop classroom materials for English language teaching in Cote d’Ivoire.
