Our #WeCare pledge
When the pandemic started, we made a pledge detailing the measures we would take to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students. We committed to providing the best possible care so that our school communities felt safe and confident about living and learning on one of our campuses.
“COVID-19 has had a significant impact on our lives. Throughout the pandemic, CATS Global Schools’ priority has been to protect and care for our school communities – our students, our staff, and their families. By adapting and working together, we will come through this stronger. ”
Chris Stacey
Chief Executive Officer, CATS Global Schools
We helped over 2,000 international students return home safely
We have dedicated medical staff on-campus
We cared for international students who were unable to travel home
“We have developed a strong relationship with Expressions Basketball. Basketball in the United States has been a way out for many black students who find themselves in tough situations. This relationship has allowed us to meet students and their families and provide opportunity for our black community.”

“As a college nurse, I help students feel better every day; you’re a kind of educator too. Though it may seem like a small contribution, you can make a positive impact on students every day. I’ve lived in various countries, including Africa and the USA, and I’ve worked in hospitals, schools and the field of research. All these experiences have helped me understand different cultures & lifestyles and the care needs of our international community so that I can support and serve them better.”
Caring for our school communities
We are continually monitoring the guidelines and advice provided by the Governments and public health bodies of the countries where we operate so that we can adapt our provision to provide the best possible care during the pandemic. Central to our decision-making remains the safety and welfare of our students and staff.
Back in March 2020, we published our pledge detailing the measures we would take to protect our school communities. This has been updated during the pandemic to reflect our rigorous procedures.
Learning online
Although our campuses had to temporarily close in 2020/21, in line with government guidance, we maintained the highest standards of care to ensure our students avoided any unnecessary disruption to their studies and to give students a sense of routine. Our teachers adapted the way they worked to continue to provide engaging and fun lessons creating a sense of community online.
Looking forward
The vaccine rollout programme is underway around the world and as travel restrictions begin to ease and lockdowns are lifted, we are looking forward to our students returning to campus to continue to live and learn in vibrant and caring environments.
Protecting our school communities
We recognise that guidance to fight COVID-19 is constantly evolving, therefore we will review and adapt our pledge. Here is an example of our most recent tailored pledge for our CATS UK Schools and CSVPA.
