Tony Oulton

Headteacher, Bosworth Independent School

Educated at the University of Oxford, Tony brings to his new role academic rigour, extensive strategic leadership experience, strong business acumen, and a generous amount of good humour.

Most recently serving as the Principal of Hulme Grammar School in Greater Manchester, Tony was instrumental in implementing structural changes across various key functions, enhancing the school’s educational offering across all key stages, and elevating its public profile through a variety of strategic marketing and admissions initiatives. Prior to that, Tony has held several key positions in the education sector, including as the Acting Principal of Pimlico Academy in London, where he led the school following a very challenging period in its history. He has also previously been Head of Sixth Form at St Albans High School for Girls, Head of Department and Oxbridge Coordinator at Woldingham School and a Teacher of Religious Studies and Philosophy at Worth School.

He is passionate about student wellbeing and development, and academic excellence. He has extensive project management experience, including large-scale capital expenditure programmes, and a creative approach to school marketing and community engagement. Tony believes that education is the single most important responsibility society has in shaping the futures of the next generation and he is passionately committed to ensuring that Bosworth Independent School capitalises on its existing strengths, becomes a school of choice for parents locally and globally, and is delivering a truly transformative education for all its students.
